Washington D.C. bill of sale forms transfer legal ownership and possession of property, such as a vehicle. The form is used both as an agreement and a receipt as proof of the transaction between the buyer and seller.
A bill of sale should be drafted and signed only after the trade has completed hands by both parties (cash is paid to the seller, and the items have been transferred to the buyer).
